Personal website case studies
Eric Ryan Anderson

Eric Ryan Anderson’s is a photographer and producer born in Texas and living and working in New York City for 10 years. Eric’s website is very simple and gives you a brief idea of his style of photography. On the home page there the whole screen displays a number of short clips by Eric, all of them filming close ups of people and with his whole name in the centre of the screen. You naturally look down below this to see an arrow which you can click to navigate to still pictures. When you hover the mouse over the picture you are given information about that particular shoot. The video on the home page drew my interest instantly, also there are quirky but simples details such as the slanted hamburger button. I like the way also he has arranged pictures and moving images in a grid pattern. There is also a instagram link which is static and stays in the bottom right of the page as you scroll up and down the pages. The typography is in contrast in the background and burger button, the background is white so everything stands out a lot.
I picked this website called Stan Seaton Photography, the reason why was because once i clicked onto the homepage the main pictures on the page was put through a automatic slideshow, transitioning from one picture to another, portraying the type of pictures the photographer produces. The photographer has included a navigating banner which makes it easy for the audience to navigate in his page whether from wedding pictures to portrait pictures. Once, i click on the link it navigates me to a page full of images, as shown in the screenshot above, these are picture albums from weddings. This is very sophisticated and simplistic making it clear for the audience to see the images and gives off a more professional style. Another reason would be because he is a wedding photographer and majority of the audience are interested in simplistic, authentic wedding photos which capture the event and emotions clearly.
