Pros and Cons of website platforms

Difference in Social Networking Websites

The three different social networks to compare are Wix, Tumblr and Wordpress. I will intend to compare these networks and explain why i chose Tumblr to create my website.

I had the opportunity to have a insight of what these three websites, which were Wix, Wordpress and Tumblr, so i can figure out which platform i will like to use to create my platform on. Firstly, i will like to explain what i liked and disliked about Wordpress.

There was not many aspects i liked about Wordpress as it was very confusing to navigate and had too many features which made it complicated to understand. On the other hand, there were not many aspects i liked about this website. However, it was a good idea to have templates that one can use to have an idea of how to structure and display their website, this is thought provoking for ideas as it helps the audience have a guideline for their website. The Wordpress platform was clearly made for the audience that would like to pursue their professional intentions and ideas, however for the creative side such as Media and Photography this was not the case. Another disadvantage would be that you will need to pay to use this platform to its full potential and therefore i think this is a con because this halts majority of the audience to not use this platform.

Secondly, there is Wix, another platform to create a website. The aspects that i enjoyed about this platform is that i had a previous experience with it and was familiar to the areas of the website. However, i did not want to choose this platform because i wanted to try something new and different. But on the bright side, this website has many advantages such as having templates and features there already and are not limited and interactive swipes. There wasn't anything i disliked about this website and do believe that it should be used by many to pursue their intentions of creating their own website.

Lastly, Tumblr, this platform was a winner for me, this was the platform i chose to create my website about my photography. This is because of the history of this platform having so many interactions that are involved in creative subjects that have the intention to inspire others with their art etc. The aspects that i liked about this platform was that it is not only a place where you can portray your ideas and images on a website, professionally but it is also a way of communication and social networking and also random following from people that enjoy images and videos that inspire them and portray their personality. This is a key way in attracting a wider audience. Another aspect i liked was that it is easy to navigate and upload images to your own website. However, there is not any features i did not like because this was a platform that suited my intentions of promoting and creating my own work, because this platform is mainly based on creative promotion to inspire others.
