Slava Semenyuta

What does Slava Semenyuta like about neon colours?

He loves everything that looks cosmic. Neon colors are colors that are rarely found in nature. In the oceans live deepwater creatures that have the property to fluoresce. In cosmos, there are ultraviolet radiation rays which are only visible neon colors. he likes to think that in the cosmos there are many planets where the whole world is fluorescent, mountains, trees, clouds, seas. The neon have a very mysterious and magical fact.

what other art has had an impact on Slava Semenyuta  photographic work?
Slava always liked to draw. As a child he drew dinosaurs, space, insects and underwater creatures. As a child, he was interested in science fiction and documentary. Slava read Clifford Simak and Larry Niven and National Geographic magazines. In magazines, he saw a lot of incredible places on our planet, which were very nicely photographed. he wanted to travel and see all the places that are seen in a magazine and photograph new fantastic places. When he bought my first camera Slava  was photographing insects, nature and my city. Now he often use body painting and Digital Art. he photographs his models turning them into cosmic creatures.

What else does Semenyuta like to shoot? what inspires him?
Slava loves to take pictures and shoot video macro. He very likes unusual places in the city. He also likes minimalism.  Semenyuta take pictures of the sky, plants, sea, road, shadows of different objects, reflections in the water and the windows of shops and houses. his inspired by everything around him and his  inspired by music – ambient, IDM, techno, African rhythms.(Info and images from https://www.hungertv.com/editorial/the-russian-photographer-creating-cosmic-colourways-to-know/)

I found this article ‘Follow These 20 Photographers to Understand the World’s Most Important Issues’ that shows photographic work from 20 different photographers that focused on highlighting world’s issues such as climate change, racism, war, political matters, poverty, gender, refugees and sexual issues. I also look at the profile on some of these photographers to see more of their work.
