Reflection.

Why did you make a C.V?

Firstly, I produced a C.V because I am planning to apply for work in the media industry, and it will tell companies about my qualifications and  skills in terms of what I have achieved and what I would like to do. Secondly, it helps me reflect on what I have accomplished so far and decide what I need to do next.

How did you make a C.V?

My teacher took us through the key points of creating a C.V specifically for the media industry and gave us some tips. For example, such as being positive and sell yourself to show confidence in your ability and not to be vague in your self description as you need to build a detailed description of your persona.  I also did my own research on media C.V’s to get some good examples then chose the main key points that I needed to cover.

Why did you write a cover letter?

I produced a cover letter because most companies and organisations require a brief cover letter explaining why you have interest in the job. This includes a detailed brief of what skills i have that would help benefit the company and what knowledge i could bring to the job position. This is because in a CV, there is a limited amount of information that is personal you could give to a company, therefore, most companies prefer cover letters to give them an insight on why you are interested in the job.

How did you write a cover letter?

I picked out a job that i would be interested in and had suitable requirements that fitted my skills, grades and knowledge. I started with writing information about myself, who i am and what i do, for example; studying. Then i spoke about what skills i have that fit the job description and how my knowledge and skills could bring a new outlook to the job position.

How did you make a website?

My teacher gave us an option of three websites, Tumblr, Wordpress or Wix. we were then given the opportunity to get some experience using them so we could decide which one to use.  He also advised what should be included in our website such as our name, contact details, information about ourselves and the best examples of our work.

Why did you make a website?

Please see previous post for discussion. I created a tumblr account then i started to create my website by editing my page to my liking and in such way that tells the audience about my photography style but at the same time look professional. I started all of this by doing some secondary research on different photography websites to get inspiration as well as taking into consideration what I like about the websites. After the research was done, i put it all together to create my website.
